The Vaccine Series: Introduction

Welcome to The Vaccine Series, as presented by the Western University chapter of Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM). The intention of this project is to provide an informative, reliable, and enjoyable source of information regarding major advancements in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It is no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the lives of many on a global scale. Recent major breakthroughs on vaccine development have been announced by several pharmaceutical companies, indicating that a post-COVID world could be nearby. As we continue to live and cope with the pandemic, it is important to learn about the intricacies involved during the vaccine development process. The Vaccine Series serves as an overview of the framework for vaccine development, as well as ongoing updates regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. UAEM continues to advocate for access to medicines across the world and strives to educate the public on this topic.
